A DISUSED cottage on one of Inverclyde’s most popular countryside walking routes can get a makeover, district planners have agreed.
Waterside Cottage beside Loch Thom is currently divided into two flats but proposals to alter and extend the building and make it into one house have now been approved by Inverclyde Council officials.
Under the proposals the property will have a porch, home office, utility space, open plan kitchen/dining/lounge, a snug, a master bedroom with ensuite plus a detached single storey garage and a separate garden room.
