WHINHILL Golf Club were crowned Inverclyde Golf’s 2026 Team Champions after a tight contest.
The event, held at Whinhill, involved 12-man teams from Greenock, Port Glasgow and Whinhill clubs. (Gourock Golf Club were unfortunately unable to field a team in this year’s event). It takes place at one of the four clubs on a yearly rota basis.
There were nine four-ball, better-ball matches with each club playing three matches against the other two clubs.
All the matches reached at least the 16th hole.
Whinhill edged out Greenock on a count-back for holes won, after both clubs finished with four points.
