THE boardwalk nature trail at Shielhill Glen has reopened after a two-year closure, following repairs.
The path runs between the Greenock and Kelly cuts in the countryside between Greenock and Inverkip, in Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park.
It was closed in July 2024 after park rangers found a section that raised safety concerns.
Inverclyde Council initially planned to use money from the Scottish Government’s Nature Restoration Fund to fix it but the funding for 2024/25 was withdrawn.
Repairs and improvements have now been carried out using money awarded for 2025/26.
