PLANNERS are being asked to agree that premises on Greenock’s waterfront can be used as a hostel.
A change-of-use application has been submitted by Waterfront Projects (Greenock) for Block B at the Waterfront Campus, on the corner of Custom House Way and Custom House Place.
The three-storey building is current classed as students halls of residence (ground floor) and houses-in-multiple-occupation (first and second floors), with a total of 16 bedrooms.
If the change is approved by Inverclyde Council, it will become a hostel with 20 bedrooms and shared facilities.
No external alterations are proposed.
The application is pending consideration by officials. No further details are given in planning documents.
