THE documents which set out Inverclyde Council’s policies on everything from food growing to financial help with home care fees are now together in one easy-to-use page online.
A major piece of work to promote openness and transparency, the publications library is available via a prominent link on the homepage of the council’s website.
Previously, the documents were published across service pages which could make it more difficult for people to find them.
Having them in one place with an easy search function ensures policies are now fully accessible to members of the public as well as council staff.
There are currently 77 policies and strategies in the documents library with more to come.

Inverclyde Council leader Stephen McCabe said: “This is a significant piece of work to make our policies, procedures and guidance easier to view and in an accessible format.
“It will be an ongoing process as new or updated policies are approved by committee.”
