THE Aldi store in Greenock will be shut for two months while the building is extended.
The supermarket will be closed from 8pm on Sunday 13 September until 8am on Thursday 12 November.

The proposals include increasing the sales floorspace at the Patrick Street premises by more than a third, from about 1,000 square metres to nearly 1,400 square metres.
There will also be new customer toilets and improved staff accommodation. The car parking area will be reconfigured, with seven extra spaces being provided. There will also be five electric vehicle charging points.

Aldi previously stated: “These proposals represent a significant investment by Aldi and are a sign of their long-term commitment to the local area and further contribute to improving the quality and experience for shoppers in this part of Inverclyde.”
The nearest alternative store is in Port Glasgow.
