A NEW bus service linking Port Glasgow and Johnstone starts on Sunday 12 July.
Hourly daytime service 1 will go between Port Glasgow and Johnstone Station via Kilmacolm, Quarrier’s Village, Bridge of Weir and Brookfield.
It is part of a package of changes supported by Strathclyde Partnership for Transport which will see McGill’s Buses operate routes 1/1A and 2 as replacements for current routes 1A/1B, X6A/X6B, 9 and 530.
Service 2 will run every 75 mins from Bridge of Weir to Johnstone Station via Houston and Linwood.
Service 1A will provide an hourly evening service between Bridge of Weir and Johnstone Station via Brookfield.
