VETERANS of the armed forces are to benefit from a new drop-in hub in Greenock.
Inverclyde Veterans’ Network is opening a base at 63 Cathcart Street.
To celebrate the launch of the facility, an open-door event is being held from 10am to 4pm on Thursday (24 September), with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2pm.
Gordon Sinclair of the network said: “The hub is an office, meeting place and drop-in centre for military Veterans.
“It will be a centralised location for veterans’ affairs in Inverclyde where any veteran, from any service, can seek assistance with issues affecting their health, wellbeing, finances or community integration.
“It will also be a place where veterans can plan events and meet other like-minded people and share some banter and camaraderie.”
