POLICE are investigating after a 16-year-old was found with serious injuries in Port Glasgow town centre early today (Monday).
Emergency services were called to the King Street area around 4.20am. The area remains sealed off.
Chief Inspector David Doherty, area commander for Inverclyde, said: “Around 4.20am on Monday, 21 September, 2026, police received a report of a 16-year-old male found with serious injuries in the King Street area of Port Glasgow. Emergency services attended and he was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing. Anyone with information, possible CCTV or dashcam footage from the area is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident 0369 of 21 September. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
