MORE details have been revealed about a shopping chain’s proposals for a store in Port Glasgow.

As revealed on Inverclyde Now last July, fashion and homeware company Matalan has applied to carry out a £1.2million fit-out of unit two of Gallagher Shopping Park.

The unit, beside Aldi, was previously occupied by discount chain Poundland.

Matalan’s building warrant application to Inverclyde Council has since been updated and now states that an upper floor will be created within the existing building shell along with a lift and escalator.

The building warrant is still pending consideration by council planners. No details have been released by Matalan so far.
