SHOP Proposal For Greenock Pub Premises Is Refused

6 May, 2026 | Local

COUNCILLORS have rejected a plan to turn a former Greenock pub into a convenience store.

Inverclyde Planning Board today voted to refuse the change-of-use application for the Broomhill Tavern on Drumfrochar Road.

Council planners officers had recommended that permission be granted but councillors disagreed raising concerns about lack of parking and road safety.

The applicant can appeal against the refusal.
