GREENOCK Players return to the stage in August with an entertaining evening of theatre, presenting two acclaimed one-act plays, at The Albany, Greenock.
They will perform The Bench by K.R. McAllister and If This Is A Story by Sean A. McLaughlan, on Saturday 15 August at 7.30pm. Tickets are £15.
The Bench is a poignant yet humorous exploration of grief, friendship and finding solace in unexpected places. The story follows Joe, a man struggling with the pressures of everyday life, and Sandy, who is mourning a loss. As the two men clash over a secluded park bench, an unlikely connection develops in this moving satirical comedy.
By contrast, If This Is A Story is a witty and imaginative comedy that asks: what if you discovered your life had already been written? When an inspirational teacher and one of his students realise they are characters in a scripted reality, they must decide whether to challenge the writer or embrace the story that has been created for them.
