GREENOCK Cinema To Mark Reopening With Line-Up Of Classic Movies
THE Waterfront Cinema in Greenock has confirmed its arrangements for reopening following recent easing of coronavrius restrictions.
The venue at Custom House Way will initially open its doors for two three-day periods — Thursday 30 July to Saturday 1 August and then Thursday 6 August to Saturday 8 August.
A full return to seven-day-a-week operation is scheduled from Wednesday 12 August.
The cinema announced: “We will be showing a mixture of all-time classics, recent favourites with new blockbusters following shortly after.”
“We have been working tirelessly to ensure the cinema experience is as enjoyable as it used to be with the appropriate safety measures in place.”
Classic films getting a return to the big screen include The Shawshank Redemption, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Dirty Dancing, Saturday Night Fever, Singin’ In The Rain, and Reservoir Dogs.
Recent favourites showing include Bridesmaids, Captain Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, The Greatest Showman.
