INVERCLYDE Leisure’s annual report states that the district-wide sport, leisure and community organisation has enjoyed increased attendance and income.
Almost 1.59 million visits were recorded across all venues in the financial year 2025/26, up from 1.48 million in 2024/25.

The report states: “2025/26 was a strong and busy year for Inverclyde Leisure. We welcomed more people through our doors, grew our membership base, introduced new activities and completed some of the biggest digital changes the organisation has undertaken.
“Income increased by 10 per cent compared with the previous year and finished three per cent ahead of target, with membership growth playing a major part in that performance.
“We ended the year with a surplus which, although slightly below our original target, allowed us to strengthen our reserves and provided a solid foundation for the 2026/27 budget.”
There were more than 565,000 gym visits, almost 90,000 Swim Academy attendances, more than 237,000 users of outdoor pitches, almost 40,000 visits to
soft play facilities and nearly 7,000 children at birthday party experiences.
The report continues: “However, our impact cannot be measured through visits and income alone. Every number represents a person using our services for their own reason: to improve their health, learn a skill, build confidence, spend time with family, meet new people or simply enjoy being active.”
