A HOUSING association is pressing ahead with plans for a total of around 90 flats and houses at three sites in Inverclyde over the next five years.
Sanctuary Scotland has already started work on 24 energy-efficient flats beside the A-listed Gourock Ropeworks in Port Glasgow.

A four-storey block containing one and two-bedroom apartments will be provided as amenity housing for older people.
The development will also include wheelchair-accessible provision and be designed to support independent living addressing identified demand in the area.

Following completion of the Bay Street project, Sanctuary will develop two former school sites in Greenock, with most of the properties for affordable social rent.
Thirty-seven homes are proposed for the Sacred Heart land on Westmorland Road, behind Inverclyde Royal Hospital, and 30 homes on Lyle Road, at the old Holy Cross site.
