MORTON’S place in the Championship was secured after a draw against Airdrieonians at Cappielow in the final league game of the season.
The match finished 1:1 resulting in Morton ending the league campiagn in eighth, two points ahead of tonight’s visitors who are ninth and in a relegation play-off place.
Airdrieonians went ahead in the 48th minute but went down to 10 men in the 59th minute when former Morton player Lewis Strapp was sent off.
Curtis Main equalised for Morton in the 72nd minute.
