AS the area around Greenock’s civic square undergoes major change, here are some images of what it was like in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
The former Central Library building and the eastern end of the Oak Mall are being demolished as part of the Central Greenock Project which will see the square opened out to connect with the newly-lowered A78 High Street.
