MAN Found Guilty Over Port Glasgow Stabbing Death

A 25-YEAR-old has been convicted of culpable homicide following the death of a man in Port Glasgow.

Lewis Mullen was found guilty today following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called around 9pm on Saturday 27 April 2024 to Brookfield Road where 27-year-old Jack Trainner was found seriously injured. Trainner, who had been stabbed, died at the scene.

Detective Superintendent Graham McCreadie said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and loved ones of Jack, whose life was taken far too soon.

“This was a senseless and devastating crime for not only his family but the local community.

“Mullen will now face the consequences of his actions.

“Acts of serious violence will not be tolerated in our communities and will be thoroughly investigated and brought before the courts.”
