PUBLIC voting is now underway in the Inverclyde Sports Personality Awards.
For the organisers, Chris Jewell said: “We encourage everyone to vote for their preferred sportspeople, coaches, teams, clubs and volunteers at www.inverclydesportspersonality.com.”
There have been more than 100 nominations, the highest ever, Nominees for the Sporting School of the Year finalists will be announced shortly.
Voting closes at 6pm on Monday 18 August.
Chris added: “We look forward to announcing the winners at our special awards dinner event on Friday 3 October in Greenock Town Hall.
“The organisers are indebted to our sponsors Inverclyde Council, Inverclyde Leisure, Autotec in Port Glasgow, Reid Mackellar Opticians, The Anchor and Gourock YAC for making these special awards happen.”
Tickets for the awards dinner are now available at www.inverclydesportspersonality.co.uk and cost £18 for adults and £12 for young people up to and including 17-year-olds.
Proceeds from the evening will be used to provide grants to aspiring local sportspeople.
