MASSIVE cruise ship Regal Princess is at Greenock a day early as the crew changed course to avoid the worst of Storm Floris.
The 142,000-tonne vessel was scheduled to sail up the Clyde on Wednesday (6 August) but is at the Port of Greenock today (5 August) instead.
The ship has missed out calls at Invergordon and Stornoway and spent Monday at sea. A visit to Liverpool has also been added.
The ship’s thousands of passengers were told that Regal Princess would shelter in the Firth of Clyde and the Irish Sea to steer clear of forecast 20-foot waves.
