ALDI has confirmed its store in Greenock will reopen on schedule after a two-month closure for upgrading work, including building an extension.
The supermarket, which hasn’t traded since Sunday 13 September, will open its doors again on Thursday 12 November.

The changes at the Patrick Street premises have included increasing the sales floorspace by more than a third, from about 1,000 square metres to nearly 1,400 square metres, by adding an extension at the rear of the building.
There will also be new customer toilets and improved staff accommodation. The car parking area has been reconfigured, with seven extra spaces being provided plus five electric vehicle charging points.
The store is one of eight across the UK that Aldi has been investing in.
Jonathan Neale, managing director of national real estate at Aldi UK, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming customers back to these newly upgraded stores in time for Christmas.
“Whether it’s creating more space, refreshing key shopping areas or introducing more energy-efficient technology, we’re continuing to invest in our stores to make them even better for the communities they serve.”
