GREENOCK businessmen Sandy and James Easdale have given £50,000 to Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

The donation by the McGill’s Bus Group owners was announced at the charity’s 25th anniversary ball.

The charity stated on social media: “The brothers, who have supported the charity since our early days at Yorkhill, made the astonishingly generous gift as we commemorate 25 years of support for Scotland’s biggest children’s hospital.

“Shortly before the announcement was made, hundreds of generous supporters took to the dance floor to donate £250 to our Promise — a commitment to the babies, children and families who will pass through the doors of the Royal Hospital for Children in the days, months and years to come.

“We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Sandy and James for this exceptional gift, and for their long-standing support.”
