GOLF: 16 Clubs Represented At Whinhill Open

WHINHILL Golf Club’s Gents’ Open attracted a great turnout, with 133 golfers from 16 clubs competing.

The eventual winner of the trophy was former member and club champion of Whinhill, Paul Jones of Largs Golf Club, who returned a magnificent scratch score of 64 for a nett 62, edging out another former member, John McLennan, by virtue of best-in-hole.

Overall Winner — Paul Jones 64 – 2 = 62
