MAJOR roadworks are to take place on one of Greenock’s busiest routes.
Inverclyde Council will be carrying out resurfacing work on Dalrymple Street over the next two weekends.
The road will be closed westbound this weekend (8/9 February) between the Bullring Roundabout and Roslin Street.
Westbound cars and vans will be diverted via Westburn Street, West Blackhall Street, Argyle Street, West Stewart Street, Houston Street, Patrick Street and Brougham Street.
Large vehicles will be diverted via Container Way, Clarence Street, Patrick Street, Brougham Street.
There will be no access to Dalrymple Street from Laird Street or Nicolson Street.
The road will be closed eastbound on Saturday 15 February between the Bullring Roundabout and Roslin Street
Eastbound cars and vans will be diverted via Roslin Street, Clarence Street and Container Way.
Large vehicles will be diverted via Patrick Street, Clarence Street and Container Way.
There will be no access to Dalrymple Street from Laird Street, and left turn only from Nicolson Street.
Finally, there will be a complete closure of Dalrymple Street on Sunday 16 February between Westburn Street and Roslin Street, with diversions as before.
