MEN Admit Drugs Offences After £1.3Million Cannabis Discovery

THREE men have been convicted after drugs with an estimated street value of over £1.3 million were recovered from a property in Greenock a year ago.

Officers from the Inverclyde Priority Policing Team attended at the old Tobacco Warehouse on Clarence Street on Thursday, 5 June, 2025, where an extensive cannabis cultivation was discovered inside.

Ariel Ruko, 24, Giap Ba Thai, 51 and Ervin Guri, 38, pled guilty to drug offences at the High Court in Glasgow. They will be sentenced at a later date.

Sergeant Gary Arthur said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and Police Scotland is committed to removing illegal substances from our streets and bringing those responsible to justice.

“We will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to deter this kind of activity and protect our communities from the harm that illegal drugs can cause.
