
THE Watt Institution in Greenock is holding a talk about the Greenock Blitz.
It takes place on Friday 16th May at 1pm at the complex in Kelly Street.
It will be given by Vincent Gillen, the institution’s collections, learning and engagement officer.
Admission is free but places are limited so admission is by ticket only, available online.
Around 350 German bombers targeted the town on the nights of 6 and 7 May 1941, killing 271 people.
Thousands more were injured and some 5,000 local homes were destroyed.
