INVERCLYDE planners have given the go-ahead for an outdoor dining area at a Gourock town centre bar/restaurant.
Officials have agreed that the Cafe Continental in Kempock Street can build an extension that will house a bin area at the lower level with a roof terrace above.

Plans drawn up by Rebecchi Architectural show an area with nine four-seat tables.
A condition of approval is that the terrace is not used after 9pm.
The council decision report states: “Overall, it is considered that the design and position of the terrace area is appropriate for the architectural design of the building.
