A TEENAGE anti-social driver has been caught in Greenock as police continue a clampdown on the problem.

Officers issued an anti-social behaviour warning against an 18-year-old and his car following an incident at Tesco car park on Dalrymple street

If he or his vehicle are found to be driving in an anti-social manner again in the next 12 months police will impound the vehicle.

Sergeant Jason Logsdon said: “Acting on complaints raised by the community, police have been conducting enquiries regarding motorists who are using their vehicles in an anti-social manner within the Tesco car park, including excessive engine revving, speeding, hard braking and tyre screeching.”

Similar action was taken against a driver in Patrick Street at the weekend.

Police are appealing for members of the public to report cars repeatedly being driven in an anti-social manner on 101.
