PLANS Drawn Up For New House In Kilmacolm

25 January, 2024 | Local, Planning

INVERCLYDE planners are being asked to approve proposals for a new detached house in Kilmacolm.

The property would be built beside Cowden Ha on Port Glasgow Road.

A design statment included with planning documents explains: “The proposal creates a bright open-plan kitchen/dining/living space to the private rear garden to maximise sunshine into the house and connections to the level garden.

“Functional utility and bathroom spaces are located to the front side alongside a master bedroom.

“An upper level features two further flexible rooms for guest sleeping, office space or further living space.

“The prominent location and proximity to the village centre demand careful consideration of the form and scale of the proposal.

“Siting of the dwelling relates to the building lines and reflects the proportions of neighbouring Cowden Ha with matching eaves height, roof pitch and window proportions.”

The application is pending consideration by council officials.
