

DETECTIVES have confirmed they are treating the death of a 27-year-old man in Port Glasgow as murder.
Jack Trainner was found seriously injured on Brookfield Road around 9pm on Saturday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An extensive investigation is under way to establish the full circumstances and there will be an increased police presence in the area.
Detective Chief Inspector Graham McCreadie, from the Major Investigation Teams, said: “Jack’s family and friends will continue to be supported throughout our enquiries. It’s vital we find out exactly what happened to him and I’m appealing to the public for help to do that.”

He added: “If you have any information that may assist officers with their enquiries, then please get in touch as soon as you can.
“We would also like to view any private CCTV or dashcam footage from the area and between 6pm and 11pm Saturday.”
