WORK is continuing on assembling the new replica of historic steamboat Comet in Port Glasgow town centre.
The latest model of Henry Bell’s famous paddle steamer has been made from non-traditional boat building materials so that it lasts longer: the main structure is constructed out of stainless steel and in a modified timber that is rot-resistant.
