WORK to knock down historic Garvel House at James Watt Dock, Greenock, started 15 years ago today.
A bulldozer moved in to level the structure on 20 December 2004, most of the work taking place overnight.
Garvel House dated from 1777 but Clydeport was given permission to demolish it because it was in such poor condition.
