COMMUNITY, sports and voluntary groups across Inverclyde are being invited to apply for funding support from Inverclyde Council.
The Community Grants Fund is open and accepting applications for up to £10,000.
A total of £260,000 has been set aside, with one-off grants available for things like facilities and running costs, projects, and fee waivers, such as subsidising hall and pitch hire.
Applicants will also need to detail if and how the grant would help the wider community.

Councillor Graeme Brooks, chair of Inverclyde Council’s grants sub-committee which decides the grants said: “Across Inverclyde we have many groups doing fantastic work right in the heart of our community.
“Budget is set aside each year by the council to provide one-off support to give these groups a helping hand in the good work which benefits our area so much.
“The pot of money does have a limit, so the role of members of the grants sub-committee is to make sure the money spent achieves the maximum benefit across Inverclyde.”
Last year more than 100 groups across Inverclyde benefited from the Community Grants Fund.

Closing date for applications is 12pm on Friday 10 July. The sub-committee will meet in September to award the grants.
