E-SCOOTER Seized And Balaclava-Wearing Rider Charged

POLICE in Inverclyde seized an e-scooter which was allegedly being used illegally.

The rider, who had been wearing a balaclava at the time, was reported for numerous alleged traffic offences by officers from Inverclyde’s Priority Policing Team.

Police Scotland stated: “It is illegal to use these e-scooters in a public place, including public roads, pavements, parks and promenades.

“Using these e-scooters and illegal Sur-Ron-style bikes poses a significant danger to the riders and members of the public, due to the speed they are capable of.
