GO-Ahead Given For Two-Bedroom Outbuilding In Gourock Garden

A GOUROCK householder has been given permission for a two-bedroom, two-storey outbuilding.

The structure in the grounds of 12 Cloch Brae will have a garage on the ground floor and habitable accommodation above.

A design document included with the planning application explained: “The new building will be used as a garage with a ‘granny flat’ above for a family member who requires care, and is associated with, and linked with, the adjacent property

“Internally the flat layout is simple –- there is a large entrance hall with all accommodation accessed off this -– open plan living / dining / kitchen plus two bedrooms and a bathroom.”

The proposal was approved by Inverclyde Council officials who stated: “”The proposals are considered to be visually acceptable and will have an acceptable impact on the character and amenity of the existing property, neighbouring properties and surrounding area.”

There were no public objections.
