DRIVER Trapped After Car Hits Tree
EMERGENCY services were called to a collision on the A78 near Greenock.
A car left the road and collided with a tree at Spango Valley just after 11am (Wednesday).
The 34-year-old driver was trapped and had to be released from the vehicle by rescue crews.
He was taken to hospital for treatment. There was no update on his condition although it is not believed to be life-threatening.
The Greenock-bound carriageway was closed for some hours.
