MS Prinsendam passing Gourock this morning
HUNDREDS of cruise ship passengers are getting an unexpected visit to the Clyde instead of Wales today (Thursday) after a change of plan to avoid bad weather.
Holland America Line ship MS Prinsendam has cancelled its call at Milford Haven because of a forecast of poor conditions, in favour of a trip to Greenock.
It means the Ocean Terminal will be hosting four cruise ships in two days as Fred Olsen vessel Boudicca was already booked in, and Nautica and Silver Wind were at Greenock on Wednesday.
The 38,000-tonne Prinsendam, which can carry 835 passengers, is expected at Greenock around 9am, in from Liverpool, and is due to leave at 9pm heading for Dublin.
