GREENOCK’S 1st XI and 2nd XI matches at the weekend were cancelled because of the weather.
On Sunday, the Greenock Sunday XI played against Ayr Sunday XI at Glenpark.
Greenock won the toss and batted first, scoring 281 all out from 35 overs. Opening batsman Toby Matthews scored 75 in an innings which included 10 boundaries and one six. Adam McGuirk batting at number nine in the order scored 53 not out.

In reply, Ayr were bowled out for 104 after 25 overs. Mahmood Ahmadzai with 2 for 28 and Mo Zeeshan 2 for 14 were Greenock’s top wicket takers.
The win against Ayr lifted Greenock’s Sunday XI to 3rd place in the WDCU Sunday League Division One
On Tuesday evening, the Greenock Hillend XI play GHK in a WDCU Midweek League fixture and on Thursday evening Greenock Glenpark XI play Hillhead 2nd XI in a Greenwood Trophy match. Both games will begin at 6.15 at Glenpark.
