INVERCLYDE Christian Initiative is holding its the 2024 Civic Prayer event next month.
It will take place in the Greenock Town Hall saloon on Thursday 9 May from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.
Invitations have been sent out to all Inverclyde church ministers and other local Christian leaders, all Inverclyde Councillors and some staff, community councils and other business and community leaders plus those in the essential ‘blue light’ services.
Chris Jewell, on behalf of the initiative, said: “We know from experience that prayer can be key for many situations and can change both people and possibilities for good.
“We would encourage all those invited and any others who wish to come to contact me at inverclydeawake@gmail.com by Monday 6th May.”
Following the time of prayer, a finger buffet will be provided so those present have time to speak to friends and colleagues and even offer to pray with each other for particular circumstances.
