GOUROCK Library Monday Book Group is hosting a six-day charity book sale to raise money for Scottish Book Trust.
They will sell nearly new and second-hand fiction and non- fiction titles, plus a selection of jigsaw puzzles, at McGilp’s pop-up shop at 5 Kempock Street in Gourock from Tuesday 30 June to Sunday 5 July.
Opening times:
Tuesday 30 June to Friday 3 July: 1pm to 6pm
Saturday 4 July and Sunday 5 July: 2pm to 7pm
Donna Swabey, of the Monday Book Group, said: The Monday Book Group has wide-ranging tastes in books and we’ve been generously supported by Gourock Library over the past two years.

“We all live surrounded by books, and felt that sharing our love of reading in the local pop-up shop would be great fun. Scottish Book Trust run lots of great schemes to get books to those with limited access, encouraging children to be lifelong literature lovers, so all the profits from the book sale will go to them.”
Laura Antone, fundraising manager at Scottish Book Trust, said: “Thanks to Gourock Library Monday Book Group for their kind support and generous donations. As Scotland’s reading and writing charity, all our proceeds go towards ensuring everyone in Scotland has access to books. We are always grateful to members of the community for helping to raise vital funds.”
The book group is grateful to Bruce Newlands of McGilp’s for free use of the shop, allowing all income to go directly to the trust.
