THE A8 was closed in both directions between Port Glasgow and Langbank following a crash on Tuesday evening.
Police said they were called to an incident just after 7pm.
The closure was in place between the Woodhall Roundabout and the Langbank Roundabout.
The road reopened in the early hours.
No details have been released.
