WITNESS Plea After Men Injured In Pub Disturbance

DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after two men were seriously assaulted during a disturbance at a Greenock pub.

The incident, at the Green Oak on Inverkip Street around 11.40 last night, involved a number of men and women and spilled out into the street.

The injured men were taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital where they were treated and have since been discharged.

Detective Constable Hannah Clark said: “It’s possible that others may have been injured in the disturbance. We would encourage them to come forward.

“We are asking anyone who saw the disturbance, or knows who was involved, to get in touch. Please also check any private CCTV or video footage from around 11.40pm on Saturday night in case anything was captured that might help our investigation.”

Two men, aged 37 and 33, have been arrested in connection with the disturbance.
