WITNESS Appeal After Man Seriously AssaultedA MAN was attacked when he confronted three men in a Greenock close.
The 21-year-old disturbed the males at a property in Gael Street, believing they were trying to steal property.
He was struck on the head and face with a sharp implement in the incident which happened around 11.45 last night (Thursday).
The victim needed hospital treatment and had staples put into a wound on the back of his head.
Detective Inspector David Wagstaff said the attack is being treated as a serious assault.
Any witnesses are urged to call police on 101.
