A 25-YEAR-old man was attacked in Gourock town centre.
Police were called around 12.40am on Sunday to premises on Kempock Street.
The man was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital in Greenock for treatment.
Constable Agnieszka Telford, of Greenock Police Station, said: “One man has sustained injuries as a result of this incident and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch as soon as possible.”
