BIRD flu has been detected at the Murdieston reservoirs in Greenock.
Signs warning of the discovery have been put up at the Cowdenknowes and Town Dams.
People are being warned to keep to the footpath, with dogs on leads; not to feed wild waterfowl; and not to pick up or touch dead or sick wild birds, their feathers or droppings, to avoid spreading the disease.
Dead wild birds that are found at the dams should be reported online.
