The organisers thank Greenock Sea Cadets and Inverclyde Divers for providing safety boat support. Thanks are also extended to the kayakers from the boat club who accompanied the swimmers during the crossing and all the other RWSABC club members who provided support on the day.
RWSABC’s next event is the Tail o’ the Bank Kayak Race on 2 September. The race is scheduled to start at 2pm. The proposed course will be from the beach at the club heading north to The Perch, turning east towards the wreck of the Captayannis, and back to the club. The main race will be two laps. Each lap of the course is approximately five miles.
