RESIDENTS have been warned that filming for a TV show at a park in Greenock will include scenes involving police officers and vehicles.

The production crew for ITV crime drama The Dark will be back in the West End for several days next week, using a property in Finnart Street and Annexe park in Fox Street as locations.

Letters sent to properties in the area state: “As part of our work inside Annexe Park, our filming will include scenes involving police officers, equipment and vehicles.

“We are working closely with Inverclyde Council and local authorities regarding this activity.

“We will have additional signage and staff positioned around the park to communicate the fact that this is not real police activity.”

The six-part show is based on GR Halliday’s debut novel From the Shadows, about Detective Inspector Monica Kennedy who is trying to catch a serial killer.

It features Laura Donnelly, Mark Rowley and Helen Baxendale.
