
GREENOCK Ocean Terminal will host six cruise ships in five days from Thursday (16 May), including a first visit to the Clyde for a massive Celebrity Cruises vessel.
The 126,000-tonne Celebrity Reflection makes her debut at Greenock on Friday (17 May).
Celebrity Reflection, which can carry more than 3,600 passengers, is due at the terminal around 9am and should leave about 5pm. The ship is also scheduled to call at Greenock again on 18 August.
The busy spell starts on Thursday with Mein Schiff 5, also making her first trip to Greenock. The 99,500-tonne ship, which can carry around 2,000 passengers, is expected around 7am and should leave at 7pm.
On Saturday (18 May), the 113,500-tonne Crown Princess, which has capacity for 3,600 passengers, makes her second Clyde call of the year.
It’s the turn of 42,000-tonne Aida Vita on Sunday (19 May).
Finally, on Monday (20 May), another large first-time visitor — the 92,400-tonne MSC Orchestra — is sharing the berth with 9,900-tonne Le Champlain.
MSC Orchestra, which can carry around 3,000 passengers, is due to be at the terminal from 8am to 6pm. Le Champlain is expected at 9am and should leave around 6pm also.
