TAKEAWAY Use Proposed For Vacant Shopping Park Unit

18 May, 2022 | Local, Planning

INVERCLYDE planners are being asked to agree hot food takeaway use for empty shop premises at Greenock’s retail park.

A planning application has been submitted for part of unit five at the Waterfront shopping area, between JD Gyms and Home Bargains.

Permission has already been given for the building to be divided into two cafe/restaurant units.

Now the retail park owners want agreement that one of those spaces can function as a takeaway only.

Documents lodged with the council planning department did not indicate if an operator has been lined up for the takeaway.

The application is pending assessment by council officials.
