MORTON have confirmed that fans can return to the storm-damaged Cowshed at Cappielow.

The stand’s roof has still to be repaired but the club has been clearance to let supporters back in, starting with Tuesday’s match against Hamilton Academical.

Morton stated: “The section which has been affected by the storm [in January] will be uncovered but most importantly it will allow supporters to return to undoubtedly the most popular area of the stadium and to partially covered areas.

“We know with the uncovered area it is still far from ideal but, as a short-term fix, we are delighted to bring supporters back to the Cowshed.

“The timeline for the repairs to the roof is still to be confirmed as we work closely with our partners to look at availability of personnel, supplies and also to fit in around home fixtures.”

The club also confirmed that the match against Falkirk on Friday evening (21 February) will still be covered by BBC Scotland for their live TV broadcast.
